Meeting notes on Windows

Voibe Work meeting notes run on Mac today, and Windows support is coming soon. On Windows, Voibe Dictation works in every app.

Check that Voibe is running

Look for the Voibe icon in the menu bar (Mac) or system tray (Windows). If you see it, Voibe is active.

Click into the target text field

Text goes only to the app with the cursor. Place the caret where you want text.

Allow microphone access

System Settings > Privacy and Security > Microphone. Enable Voibe.

Allow accessibility access

System Settings > Privacy and Security > Accessibility. Enable Voibe.

Confirm the caret is visible in a text field. Try another app. Open Voibe from Applications.

If the hotkey does not work

Change the hotkey in Voibe settings to avoid conflicts with macOS or other apps.

If words are typed incorrectly

Speak at a steady pace. Add uncommon words to the custom dictionary.

How to use Voibe

Voibe Dictation types what you say into any app on Mac and Windows. Voibe Work takes notes in your meetings on Mac, with no bot in the call. Here's how to use both.

Hold the Fn key

Click into the editor, press and hold the Fn key (or your chosen hotkey).

Start speaking at your natural pace.

Release to insert

Once you're done, release the Fn key and your words appear instantly in the editor.

Make sure Voibe is running

After installation, Voibe runs in the background. Check the menu bar (Mac) or system tray (Windows) for the Voibe icon.

If you see it, Voibe is ready. You do not need to open it each time.

Voibe Work

Take meeting notes without a bot

Voibe Work captures the meeting from your Mac, in Zoom, Teams, Google Meet or any other app. Nothing joins the call but you.

1. Start notes as the meeting begins

Start meeting notes in Voibe when your call starts. No bot joins, so nobody has to admit a notetaker.

2. Let everyone know

Voibe reminds you to tell the other participants you're taking notes. Follow the recording consent rules that apply to your meetings.

3. Get your transcript and summary

When the meeting ends, Voibe writes the transcript and a summary using the template you pick for that kind of meeting. Both are saved on your Mac.

4. Copy, export or ask

Copy a transcript or summary in one click, export it as a PDF, or ask your meetings what was agreed and who owns what.

Meeting audio is processed by open-source models on zero-retention cloud providers and deleted as soon as processing completes. Nothing is used to train AI.

If Fn key conflicts with a shortcut in your mac, open Voibe settings and choose a different key. Pick a key not used by other shortcuts.

Add domain-specific words like product or company names to your custom dictionary. Voibe will spell them correctly in future dictations.

Developer Mode

Inside coding agents, say ‘file …’ or ‘folder …’. For multiples, say ‘files, A, B, and C.’ Voibe annotates the right files and folders in the conversation.
