In on-device mode, audio is processed in-memory on your Mac's Apple Silicon chip and immediately discarded. No dictation data is stored, logged, or transmitted. On Windows or an Intel Mac, Voibe uses zero-retention cloud mode instead: audio is deleted the moment transcription completes and never stored. For MNPI and NDA-bound work, we recommend on-device mode.

Can I use it in an air-gapped or restricted network environment?
Yes, in on-device mode. On an Apple Silicon Mac, dictation runs entirely on-device using the Neural Engine: fully offline, no internet connection, ideal for network-restricted environments.

No. Voibe runs on all Macs (Apple Silicon and Intel) and on Windows. Fully on-device mode requires an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later); Intel Macs and Windows use zero-retention cloud mode.
