No. AI text formatting is an optional cloud feature, separate from the dictation engine. For fully local, offline dictation on an Apple Silicon Mac, choose On-Device under Dictation Engine and turn AI text formatting off in Voibe → Dashboard → Settings. With formatting enabled, the finished text is sent to the cloud for cleanup; the on-device engine still transcribes your audio locally.

Check your email address and spam folder, allow a few minutes for delivery, then request another code. If the app says “Failed to send code,” check your connection and try reopening the app. Contact hi@getvoibe.com if it continues.

Check that your app email matches your purchase email, then sign out and back in to refresh the plan. You do not need to enter an order number in the referral-code field. If the plan is still wrong, email hi@getvoibe.com with your purchase email and order reference.

Voibe supports languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish, and Russian. On Mac, choose Primary Language in Voibe → Dashboard → Settings. Manual language selection on Windows is planned for an upcoming update.

Yes. Click into an editable document, email, or Excel cell, use your configured hotkey, and speak. Voibe inserts the text into that field. Your apps keep their usual appearance, including light themes.

Voibe is currently available for Mac and Windows. There is no iPhone or Android app available to download. We have not announced a mobile release date.

Yes. Download Voibe and sign in to start a 7-day free trial. No credit card is required, and you will not be charged automatically when it ends. After the trial you move to Voibe Free, or choose a paid plan for unlimited dictation.

No. Cloud Mode controls where dictation is processed. Memory entries stay on the computer where you created them and do not sync when you sign in on another device.

One license is for one person. You can install Voibe on multiple Macs, with one Mac signed in at a time. Your Windows PC can stay active alongside your Mac. Signing in on a second Mac signs you out of the first.

On Mac, Live Dictation shows an editable draft as you speak, then inserts the finished text into your app. On Windows, use Push-to-Talk or Hands-Free and edit the text after it is inserted.

It's still private by design: only open-source models, your audio is deleted the instant it's transcribed, and nothing is ever stored or used to train AI. Offline dictation is available on Apple Silicon Macs after setup with the on-device engine selected and AI text formatting off.

Fully on-device mode, Live Dictation, and manual language selection are Mac-only today. Language selection is planned for an upcoming Windows update. Windows supports push-to-talk, hands-free, Developer Mode, custom vocabulary, spoken punctuation, and smart formatting. One seat covers your Mac and your Windows PC.

Battery impact depends on your hardware, session length, and dictation engine. On-device transcription uses Apple Silicon to process speech locally. Cloud Mode, available on Mac and required on Windows and Intel Macs, runs transcription remotely. Voibe captures audio only during an active dictation.

No. Voibe listens only during an active dictation. In Push-to-Talk, hold the hotkey to record and release to stop. Hands-Free and Live Dictation continue until you use their stop control, so you do not need to hold a key throughout.
