Is Krisp Safe? The Short Answer
The University of Pittsburgh approved two AI notetakers in August 2025, the ones in Teams and Zoom. It added that "no other AI notetakers are approved for use with University data."
Krisp is one of those other notetakers. I read its policies and help center on November 2, 2026.
My verdict
Krisp is safe for most everyday calls. It does better than most notetakers on two counts:
- No bot joins your call by default.
- Krisp says your meeting data is never used to train its AI models.
Storage is the weak spot. On Core and Advanced, your notes stay in Krisp's US cloud until you delete them.
Where the risk sits
- A cloud copy by default. Krisp's privacy policy lets it keep transcripts, recordings and summaries on its servers. Nothing expires unless an admin sets auto-delete.
- Private on-device transcription is an Enterprise feature.
- Krisp's own pages give five different answers on where transcription happens.
- Krisp's subprocessor list names Anthropic, Google, Groq, Nebius AI and Microsoft Azure for its AI Meeting Assistant.
- No bot also means no automatic notice. Unless you turn on a setting, people on the call may not know Krisp is running.
- The BAA needs 100+ seats, on Enterprise only.
What Krisp gets right
- Noise cancellation alone runs on your device. The policy says no audio or video leaves it.
- No training on your meetings, stated on the pricing page.
- Krisp says it opts out of training with its AI vendors.
- It states SOC 2 Type II, PCI DSS and GDPR, and publishes its subprocessor list.
- There's a setting to notify others you're using Krisp.
- I found no privacy lawsuit, breach or institutional ban naming Krisp as of November 2, 2026.
How I checked
- Krisp's privacy policy (last updated September 28, 2026)
- Its Terms of Use (March 4, 2026)
- The security page and pricing page
- The Trust Center subprocessor list and FAQ, plus 17 help-center articles
- CourtListener's federal docket archive and the news, for lawsuits
- University IT pages, for bans
I haven't used Krisp hands-on. How it behaves comes from its own documentation.
What it costs, and the option with no vendor copy
Krisp Core is $96 a year. That's $53 less than Voibe Work's $149.
- Every plan: our Krisp pricing breakdown
- Other notetakers: Krisp alternatives
Voibe Work (the app we build) keeps no vendor copy:
- No bot joins, on Mac or Windows.
- The audio is deleted as soon as processing completes.
- The notes are saved on your computer, not on Voibe's servers.
- Nothing is used to train AI.
Voibe reminds you to tell everyone you're taking notes when recording starts.
The recording-consent rules are yours to follow. Our AI notetaker consent laws guide covers each state.
Key Takeaway
Safe for most everyday calls: no bot by default, no training. The risk: notes stay in Krisp's US cloud until you delete them.
Key Takeaways: Krisp Safety at a Glance (November 2026)

What Is Krisp, and How Does It Capture a Meeting?

Krisp is a US voice-AI company that started with noise cancellation. Its help center now lists three product lines.
Most people meet the AI Meeting Assistant. It does bot-free note taking, transcription and noise cancellation, for individuals and teams.
It sits between you and the call
The desktop app is a virtual microphone and speaker, per Krisp's security page. You pick it in Zoom, Teams, Meet or Slack.
Krisp then hears both sides of the call. That's how it removes noise and takes notes without a bot.
Four ways a meeting gets captured
- Desktop app, no bot. Mac (macOS 14 or later) and Windows 10 or 11. No Linux or ChromeOS, per the help center.
- Krisp Bot, optional, from Core up. It joins Zoom, Google Meet and Teams.
- Invite the bot by email (assistant@krisp.ai) and it records and transcribes the meeting even if you can't join.
- Phone apps for in-person meetings, on iPhone and Android. They have no noise cancellation yet.
- File uploads of earlier recordings.
It reaches past the meeting
- Calendar: signup asks for Google or Outlook by default.
- Contacts: Krisp also asks for Contacts and Directory access to name speakers.
- Integrations: Slack, Notion, Zapier, HubSpot, Pipedrive and more. Salesforce needs Advanced.
- Krisp MCP, a hosted server. It gives AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor access to your meeting data, action items and calendar.
- The MCP can also change data, such as tags, speaker names and action items.
Connect only the integrations you'll use. Each one is another app that can read your meetings.
What users say
- 4.73 out of 5 from 271 ratings on the App Store
- 3.95 out of 5 from 388 ratings on Google Play
I checked both on November 2, 2026.
Where Does a Krisp Meeting Go? Your Device, Then Krisp's Cloud

Noise cancellation stays on your device. Meeting notes go to Krisp's cloud and stay there until you delete them.
Noise cancellation only: nothing leaves
With noise cancellation alone, Krisp can't access or store your audio or video. The privacy policy says so, and the help center says it runs locally.
Meeting notes: stored in Krisp's US cloud
- What's kept: transcripts, recordings and summaries, on Krisp's servers, per the privacy policy.
- Where: AWS servers in Northern Virginia, per the Trust Center.
- No regional storage, says the security page. Enterprise adds a data center choice.
- Recordings are kept in the cloud too, says the help center. That covers audio, screen and bot video.
- Summaries are generated with Microsoft Azure, per the security page.
- How long: until you tell Krisp to delete the recordings, the notes or your account.
- AES-256 encryption at rest.
- Account data isn't physically separated at the database or storage layers, Krisp says.
Where Your Meetings Go: Krisp vs Otter, Fathom, Granola, Fireflies, Read AI and Voibe Work
Same five questions, seven notetakers. The other rows come from our October 2026 reviews:
| Tool | Bot in the call? | What's kept, and where | Retention | Training default | Attestations |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Krisp | No by default; optional bot from Core | Recordings, transcripts and summaries; Krisp's cloud on AWS, US | Until you delete; admin auto-delete available | Never (pricing FAQ) | Krisp states SOC 2 Type II, PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA; BAA on Enterprise at 100+ seats |
| Otter | Yes by default; desktop app records without a bot | Audio and transcript; Otter cloud | Until you delete | On (de-identified); no opt-out found | SOC 2 Type II; HIPAA as an Enterprise add-on |
| Fathom | Yes by default; bot-free in the Mac app | Video, audio, transcript, summary; Fathom cloud, US | Until you delete; auto-delete Enterprise only | On (de-identified); opt-out | Fathom states SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, HIPAA; signed BAA Enterprise |
| Granola | No | Audio deleted after transcription; notes in a US-hosted AWS cloud | Indefinitely unless a retention policy is set | On for Free and Business (anonymised); opt-out | SOC 2 Type II; HIPAA and BAA Enterprise only |
| Fireflies | Yes by default; Take Notes without one | Transcript and summary, plus audio and video in bot mode; Fireflies cloud | While the account is active | Never (policy) | Fireflies states SOC 2 Type II, ISO 42001, GDPR; BAA on Enterprise |
| Read AI | Yes by default; desktop app without one | Reports and transcripts; AWS us-east-1 | Paid: until you stop paying or ask | Off (opt-in) | Read states SOC 2 Type II, GDPR; HIPAA on Enterprise+ |
| Voibe Work | No (Mac and Windows) | Audio deleted as soon as processing completes; transcript and summary saved on your computer | Your files, your choice | Never trained on | None claimed; BAA available on request |
Krisp and Voibe Work both skip the bot and the training. On storage, Krisp keeps a copy and Voibe Work keeps none on its servers.
Key Takeaway
Noise cancellation stays on your device. Meeting notes are stored in Krisp's cloud on AWS in Northern Virginia until you delete them.
Five Krisp Pages, Five Answers on Where Transcription Runs
I checked where Krisp's own pages say transcription runs. I got five answers.
- Security page (modified August 26, 2026): transcripts are generated on your machine.
- Help center (updated October 3, 2026): meetings are transcribed in the cloud. The audio used is deleted right after processing.
- Homepage FAQ: English on your device, plus 15 more languages on Krisp's servers.
- Pricing page: private on-device transcription and recordings appear under Enterprise only.
- Trust Center FAQ: voice data never leaves your device, except with features like AI Voice Translation.
The privacy policy adds a sixth detail, about Transcribe only mode:
- If Krisp hears non-English speech, it may record that audio.
- It deletes the recording once the transcript exists.
Which answer to plan around
The pages may describe different products, plans or app versions. Krisp doesn't say which.
I'd only count on on-device transcription if you're on Enterprise and it's in your contract.
Where the pages agree
They agree on storage. The transcript, summary and any recording end up in Krisp's cloud either way.
One more mismatch
- Krisp's note-taker page says it works "without bots or cloud recordings".
- The same page says no audio is sent to third parties.
- The privacy policy says Krisp may share meeting content with third-party service providers to make summaries.
- The help center says recordings are kept in the cloud.
I'd trust the policy and the help center over the marketing page.
Who Else Touches a Krisp Meeting? Its 30 Subprocessors
Krisp's Trust Center lists 30 subprocessors. Most handle hosting, email, billing and analytics.
About a dozen are AI or audio vendors. Several are tied to the meeting assistant.
AI vendors named for the AI Meeting Assistant
- Anthropic (USA): its Claude API is used only for the AI Meeting Assistant.
- Google (USA): generative AI models for the assistant, plus text-to-speech for voice translation.
- Groq (USA) and Nebius AI (Finland): both listed as exclusive to the meeting assistant.
- Microsoft Azure (USA): summaries, per the security page.
Speech and bot vendors
- Baseten transcribes audio in multiple languages.
- Soniox does speech-to-text in over 60 languages.
- Recall.ai and AssemblyAI are used when you send a meeting bot.
- Daily streams audio for live captions.
- ElevenLabs does speech synthesis.
Outside the US
The security page says all data is stored in the United States. Some processing happens elsewhere:
- Nebius AI in Finland
- Hotjar in the EU
- Krisp LLC in Armenia, for support and maintenance of the app
What Krisp says about training at these vendors
- Anthropic and Groq don't use customer data for their own training, Krisp says.
- Krisp says it has opted out at Nebius AI.
- The security page says Krisp always opts out of data sharing and training with third-party providers.
The policy is sound, but your meeting may still pass through several AI companies.
The list doesn't say which vendor gets audio and which gets text.
How Voibe Work differs
Voibe's zero-retention cloud uses only open-source and open-weight models. No third-party AI lab (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic or Microsoft) is in the audio path.
Every provider is named on Voibe's cloud privacy page.
Does Krisp Train AI on Your Meetings? No, and It Says So Plainly
No. Krisp's pricing FAQ says: "Your meeting data is never used to train Krisp's AI models."
That beats three rivals. These train on de-identified or anonymised meeting data unless you act:
Krisp, like Fireflies, says no outright.
Four statements that back it up
- Trust Center FAQ: Krisp built its models on 20,000 unique noise samples and 10,000 clear voice samples, without customer data.
- Security page: Krisp opts out of data sharing and training with third-party providers.
- Privacy policy: Krisp doesn't monitor, sell or use your content beyond running the service.
- Data from Google Workspace APIs isn't used to build or train generalized AI or ML models.
The one caveat
Krisp's Terms of Use say it doesn't control how third-party models are trained. That refers to models other companies build, not Krisp's own.
Krisp itself doesn't train on your meetings. For its vendors, you're relying on the opt-outs in its contracts.
How Voibe compares
Voibe doesn't train on dictation or meeting data either. The two differ on where the notes live afterwards.
Tip
Save dated copies of Krisp's privacy policy (September 28, 2026), Terms (March 4, 2026) and subprocessor list, so you can prove what you agreed to.
How Long Does Krisp Keep Your Meetings, and How Do You Delete Them?
Until you delete them. That covers recordings and meeting notes, per Krisp's privacy policy.
The deletion controls that exist
- Deleted meetings sit in Trash for 30 days and still count toward your storage. Empty Trash to delete them for good.
- From Manage Storage, you can delete a recording and keep the transcript or the notes.
- A team admin can turn on auto-delete for members' meetings. Krisp's help article doesn't say which plans include it.
- Deleted transcripts and summaries are hard-deleted and completely wiped, the security page says.
- Self-serve account deletion only works for accounts with 1 team and 1 seat. Larger teams email support.
After a trial or a downgrade
- Trial ends: you get 90 days to export. After that, Krisp may delete your account and content.
- Downgrade: old recordings stay, but you can't make new ones unless you buy more storage.
- Support tickets: what you share is kept up to six months after the ticket closes.
Copies you don't control
Auto-share can send transcripts, notes and recordings to everyone on the invite. That includes external guests.
The team default is "User's choice". Krisp doesn't say what each user starts on.
- Delete a meeting you shared, and others see it as deleted.
- Shared links stop working once it's permanently gone.
- Anything a guest already downloaded stays with them.
Plan-by-plan storage limits are in our Krisp pricing guide.
Is Krisp HIPAA Compliant? SOC 2, PCI DSS and the 100-Seat BAA
Only on Enterprise, and only for big teams. Krisp's pricing page lists HIPAA compliance under Enterprise alone.
What Krisp claims
- Pricing FAQ: Krisp calls itself certified for SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA, and says it adheres to PCI-DSS. That's Krisp's own wording.
- Trust Center: lists SOC 2 Type II, PCI-DSS 4.0, HIPAA and GDPR. A HIPAA compliance executive summary report is available on request.
- Security page: the SOC 2 Type II and PCI DSS reports can be downloaded from the Trust Center.
- On the pricing page, SOC 2 report access is an Enterprise feature.
The BAA wording doesn't match across pages
The security page says the BAA is only for the Business tier. Krisp no longer sells a Business tier.
The current pricing page puts the BAA on Enterprise. It's "Available for teams with 100+ seats".
What each claim covers
- SOC 2 Type II audits security controls. It doesn't change where meetings are stored or for how long.
- A BAA is a contract, not a certification. Without one, a covered entity shouldn't put patient information into the tool.
- On-device transcription and data center choice are Enterprise-only too.
For small practices
A solo therapist or a 10-person clinic can't sign Krisp's BAA. On Core or Advanced, keep protected health information out of Krisp.
Our healthcare notetaker guide and HIPAA dictation guide compare tools by data flow.
Voibe Work's BAA
Voibe Work has a BAA available on request, with no seat minimum. A BAA is a contract, and Voibe makes no certification claim.
Key Takeaway
HIPAA compliance and the BAA are Enterprise-only, for teams with 100+ seats. On Core or Advanced, keep patient information out of Krisp.
Has Krisp Been Sued? Is It Banned Anywhere?
I found no privacy lawsuit naming Krisp as of November 2, 2026. I searched CourtListener's federal docket archive and the news.
A search can miss things. Treat this as what I found, not a guarantee.
The two cases that do exist
Sanas.AI Inc. v. Krisp Technologies, Inc.
- N.D. Cal. No. 3:25-cv-05666 (docket)
- Filed July 2025 over Krisp's accent conversion
- Patent, trade-secret and false-advertising claims. Krisp countersued.
- In February 2026 the court let the patent claims go into discovery.
- The docket shows filings through October 30, 2026.
It's an intellectual-property fight, and the claims are allegations.
Tavarez v. Krisp Technologies, Inc.
- S.D.N.Y. No. 1:21-cv-09807 (docket)
- A 2021 class complaint about Krisp's website accessibility for blind users
- Conditionally discontinued on March 18, 2022, after the parties reported a settlement
Neither case is about recording, transcripts or meeting data.
Your own claims go to arbitration
- Krisp's Terms require binding JAMS arbitration and a class-action waiver.
- You can opt out by emailing Krisp within 30 days of first use.
- Use the opt-out subject line the Terms give for the arbitration and class action waiver.
- Claims must be brought within one year.
Other notetakers are in court
- Otter faces a consolidated privacy class action in California (details).
- Granola, another bot-free notetaker, faces a wiretap class action (the Granola lawsuit explained).
- Fireflies faces a pending BIPA voiceprint class action (details).
Krisp users should watch the Granola case. Its theory is that recording without a bot can still mean recording without consent.
Bans and approvals
I found no university or employer that names Krisp as blocked or approved. These three come closest:
- University of Pittsburgh (August 11, 2025) approved AI Notes in Teams Premium and Zoom AI Companion. It said "no other AI notetakers are approved for use with University data" (Pitt Digital). That rule covers Krisp without naming it.
- University of Waterloo doesn't permit third-party AI note-taking bots in UW-hosted meetings (UW IT guidelines). That rule wouldn't catch Krisp's desktop app, but it would catch the Krisp Bot.
- UCLA: the Daily Bruin (December 4, 2025) named Krisp AI among the transcription tools raising instructors' privacy concerns.
Having no bot doesn't make a tool approved. Your employer's or school's approved-tools list comes first.
Key Takeaway
No privacy lawsuit naming Krisp turned up as of November 2, 2026. Its two court cases are about patents and website accessibility.
Recording Consent: No Bot Means You Do the Telling
Meeting bots show up as a tile on the call. Krisp has no bot by default, so nobody sees a notetaker join.
What Krisp gives you
- A notice setting. Go to Settings, then Privacy & Consent, and turn on Notify others you're using Krisp.
- Krisp's help center warns that some platforms block chat messages or audio prompts. Tell people another way as well.
- On Advanced, admins can enforce the recording mode and the note-taking mode for a team.
Krisp doesn't say whether the notice is on by default. Check it in your settings.
Some users turn it off
An App Store reviewer rolled back the desktop app in April 2026. Their reason: "to avoid annoying recording warnings in chat".
Leave the notice on anyway. It's the part of Krisp that protects you.
What the law asks
Several US states require everyone's consent to record a private conversation. They include California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Washington.
Our AI notetaker consent laws guide covers every state, cross-state calls and late joiners. The Granola wiretap suit shows bot-free tools still need consent.
A one-line script that covers most calls
Say: I'm using an AI note taker on this call. It doesn't join as a bot. Is everyone OK with that?
Then wait for a yes from each person.
If you use Voibe Work
Voibe Work has no bot either, so no tile appears. Voibe reminds you to tell everyone you're taking notes when recording starts.
The recording-consent rules are yours to follow. The AI notetaker consent laws guide explains them.
The Krisp Safety Decision Tree
Five questions, from the easiest case to the hardest. Stop at the first one where you can't accept Krisp's answer.
- Noise cancellation only, with the Note Taker off? Krisp is safe. The privacy policy says no audio leaves your device.
- An internal, non-confidential meeting? Krisp's notes are a reasonable choice. Set auto-share to Manually send recap first.
- Will health information come up? Krisp's BAA needs Enterprise and 100+ seats. Without it, keep those calls out of Krisp.
- OK with the meeting sitting in Krisp's US cloud until you delete it? If not, you need Enterprise's on-device option or a tool that keeps no vendor copy.
- Does everyone on the call know a notetaker is running? If not, tell them first. In all-party states, get a yes. The AI notetaker consent laws guide lists the rules.
Most internal calls stop at question 1 or 2. Krisp handles those well.
Legal, medical and financial client calls usually reach question 3 or 4. See our notetaker guides for lawyers and financial advisors.
The 5-Step Krisp Safety Audit: Settings to Check Today
Five checks cover most of the risk.
- Pick the lightest recording mode. The AI Note Taker offers Transcribe only, Audio Recording, Screen Recording or Off. If you don't need replays, Transcribe only avoids keeping a recording.
- Set auto-share to manual. Go to Settings, then AI Note Taker, then Sharing, and choose Manually send recap. Transcripts and recordings then won't reach external guests on their own. Admins can enforce it.
- Turn on the consent notice. Go to Settings, then Privacy & Consent, then Notify others you're using Krisp. Say it out loud as well.
- Delete what you don't need. Delete old meetings, then empty Trash, which keeps them 30 days. Admins can turn on auto-delete for team members' meetings.
- Prune your connections. Check the calendar link, any Krisp MCP connection in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and integrations like Slack, Notion or HubSpot. Remove what you don't use.
Then talk to your team
Your settings only cover your account. Ask colleagues on Krisp to run the same five steps.
Ask them to keep Krisp off client calls unless everyone agrees.
Which steps matter most
Steps 1 and 2 matter most. They decide what Krisp keeps and who gets a copy.
Training is already covered by Krisp's no-training policy.
Warning
Deleting a meeting doesn't recall copies already shared. Set auto-share before your next call, since it can send notes to external guests.
A Setup That Keeps No Copy on a Vendor's Servers: Voibe Work

Krisp already skips the bot and the training. Without Enterprise, it can't skip the cloud copy.
Voibe Work (ours) is built the other way round.
What Voibe Work does differently
- No bot in the call, on Mac or Windows.
- It captures Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, Slack huddles or any other meeting app from your computer.
- It also records in-person meetings through your Mac or PC's mic.
- Open-source models on zero-retention cloud providers process the audio. It's deleted as soon as processing completes (what zero data retention means).
- Notes saved on your computer, not on Voibe's servers, and never used to train AI.
- No storage cap, and no Trash on someone else's server.
- No third-party AI lab in the audio path. No OpenAI, Google, Anthropic or Microsoft model processes the audio.
- BAA available on request, with no 100-seat minimum.
What's in the plan
- Speaker labels, with a time next to every line. Rename a speaker and the summary updates.
- Templates for each type of meeting, plus your own
- Chat with your meetings
- One-click copy and PDF export
- Up to 4 hours per meeting, unlimited meetings
- Meeting MCP for ChatGPT and Claude
- Dictation on Mac and Windows
Consent is still your job
Voibe reminds you to tell everyone you're taking notes when recording starts.
The recording-consent rules are yours to follow. See the AI notetaker consent laws guide.
Where Krisp wins
- Noise cancellation. Voibe doesn't do it.
- A consent notice inside the call. Krisp can notify participants for you, while Voibe Work reminds you, the note-taker.
- Phone apps for in-person meetings on iPhone and Android. Voibe has no phone app.
- An optional bot that can cover a call you miss. Voibe has no bot.
- Replays and integrations. Krisp keeps recordings and syncs to Slack, Notion and CRMs. Voibe Work deletes the audio and lists no CRM, Notion or Slack integration.
- Voibe Work's meeting notes need an internet connection. On-device processing is a Voibe dictation feature on Apple Silicon Macs, not a meeting-notes one.
What it costs
Voibe Work is $149 a year.
- $53 more than Krisp Core ($96)
- $31 less than Krisp Advanced ($180)
- 7-day free trial of every Voibe Work feature
- No credit card and no automatic charge
- 30-day money-back guarantee on paid plans
Our Krisp pricing breakdown has the full maths, dictation bundle included.
See Voibe Work pricing. Or compare the best no-bot meeting note takers.
Key Takeaway
Like Krisp, Voibe Work has no bot and no training. Unlike Krisp, it deletes audio after processing and saves notes on your computer.
Who Krisp Is Safe For, and Who Should Pick Something Else
Krisp is safe for most internal calls and for noise cancellation. Set sharing and the consent notice first.
It's a weaker fit when a vendor-side copy is the risk. Find your situation:
| Your situation | Krisp verdict | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Noise cancellation only | Safe | Turn the Note Taker off; audio stays on your device |
| Internal stand-ups and planning | Safe | Set auto-share to manual; delete old meetings |
| Sales and recruiting calls | Safe with notice | Turn on Notify others and say it out loud |
| Participants in California, Illinois or another all-party state | Safe only with everyone's consent | Ask each person and wait for a yes |
| Patient conversations with health information | Enterprise only, 100+ seats | Get the BAA, or keep PHI out of Krisp |
| Privileged legal calls | Risky below Enterprise | Read the lawyers guide; prefer no vendor-side copy |
| Data must stay in the EU or on your own machine | Enterprise only | Ask for data center choice and on-device; otherwise pick another tool |
| Your university or employer approves only built-in notetakers | Not allowed | Follow the policy, as at Pitt |
| You can't attend but need notes | Workable | Use the Krisp Bot; the host must admit it |
| Confidential calls, notes kept on your own computer | Use something else | Voibe Work, or another tool that keeps no vendor copy |
Our Krisp alternatives compare where each notetaker keeps your meetings. Our AI privacy guide covers the wider picture.

- Say it out loud too, since some platforms block the message.
What is a safer alternative to Krisp for confidential meetings? One with no bot and no vendor-side copy.
- Voibe Work (ours) deletes the audio as soon as processing completes.
- It saves notes on your computer, never trained on.
- BAA available on request, with no seat minimum.
- Voibe reminds you to tell everyone you're taking notes. Consent rules are yours to follow (AI notetaker consent laws guide).
The Bottom Line: Is Krisp Safe in 2026?
Krisp beats most notetakers on bots and training. On storage, it's ordinary.
- No bot joins by default.
- Noise cancellation stays on your device.
- Krisp says your meetings never train its models.
Its weak points all come from the copy it keeps:
- recordings, transcripts and summaries in Krisp's US cloud until you delete them
- several AI vendors in the path to a summary
- five different answers on where transcription runs
- on-device transcription, data center choice and the BAA only on Enterprise, the BAA at 100+ seats
- no automatic notice to the people on your call unless you turn it on
If you're keeping Krisp
I'd keep it for noise cancellation and internal calls. Run the five-step audit today: recording mode, auto-share, consent notice, deletion and connections.
Re-check when the privacy policy date moves past September 28, 2026.
