Notta's free plan gives you 120 minutes a month. But it stops every conversation at minute 3.
A 45-minute client call on Free gets a 3-minute transcript. For real meetings, Free works as a demo.
Notta's prices on November 2, 2026
The paid plans are what you'd actually use.
- Free: $0, 120 minutes a month, 3 minutes per conversation
- Pro: $13.49 a month, or $8.17 a month billed annually ($97.99 a year). One seat.
- Business: $27.99 a seat a month, or $16.67 billed annually ($199.99 a year)
- Enterprise: custom pricing, from 51 seats
Notta records with a bot or with a bot-free desktop app. It also transcribes files you upload.
If the labels blur, see how a notetaker differs from a meeting assistant.
Why a $97.99 charge can surprise you
AI tools often reach a company through personal cards, not IT. Zylo's 2026 SaaS Management Index found AI-native apps adopted "frequently through employee credit cards and expense reports".
Spend on those apps rose 108% overall. Notta's web trial fits the pattern, because it asks for your card up front.
- The web trial lasts 3 days.
- When it ends, Notta charges the $97.99 annual fee straight away, per its help center.
The five catches
I read Notta's pricing page, terms and help center on November 2, 2026. Five rules can cost you money:
- Free stops at minute 3 of every conversation.
- The web and mobile trials convert to Annual Pro at $97.99.
- Web purchases are generally not refunded.
- Pro is one seat. A team pays $199.99 a seat for Business, and Enterprise needs 51 seats.
- Silent stretches count as minutes, and every file rounds up to the next minute.
Where Voibe Work lands
Notta Pro is cheaper than Voibe Work. Voibe Work is the meeting-notes plan of Voibe, the app we build, and costs $149 a year.
- Against Pro annual: $149 − $97.99 = $51.01 more. That's 52.1% ($51.01 ÷ $97.99).
- Against Business annual ($199.99): $50.99 (25.5%) less, with dictation included. Notta doesn't sell dictation.
- Notta keeps your notes in its cloud in Tokyo until you delete them. Voibe Work saves them on your computer.
Where to go next:
- Notta alternatives, if you're comparing tools
- Is Notta safe?, if you're worried about your data
- AI meeting note taker pricing, for every notetaker's price
- Dictation app pricing, for dictation apps
How I checked
- I read the pricing page on both the Monthly and Annual toggles.
- I read the help center and the terms (effective September 2, 2026).
- I haven't used Notta hands-on. Every Notta fact here comes from its own pages, the App Store or rating sites.
- I worked out one-, three- and five-year costs per seat, a team of 10, and a dictation app added on top.
- Every percentage is the difference divided by the Notta price.
- Voibe Work prices come from getvoibe.com/pricing.
- Otter, Fireflies, Read AI, Fathom and Wispr Flow prices come from our own pricing breakdowns (October 2026).

How Much Is Notta? Every Plan and Price (2026)

Notta sells four plans: Free, Pro, Business and Enterprise. These are US list prices from its pricing page, checked November 2, 2026.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually | Per seat per year (annual) | Minutes a month | Longest recording | File uploads a month | AI summaries a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | $0 | 120 | 3 minutes | 50 | 10 |
| Pro | $13.49 | $8.17/mo | $97.99 (1 seat) | 1,800 | 5 hours | 100 | 100 |
| Business | $27.99/seat | $16.67/seat/mo | $199.99 | Unlimited | 5 hours | 200 | 200 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom (51+ seats) | Customized | 5 hours | Unlimited | Unlimited |
- Every tier, Free included, gets 1,000 Notta Brain AI credits a month.
- Unused minutes don't carry over to the next month.
Annual or monthly?
The pricing toggle advertises 40% off for annual billing. Billed monthly for a year, Pro costs $161.88 and Business $335.88 a seat.
The exact savings are in the hidden-costs section below.
Where you can buy each plan
- Pro: on the web by card, or in the iPhone and Android apps
- Business: on the web by card only, per Notta's help center
- Enterprise: through sales. The page says "Online purchase is not available."
No dictation in the lineup
Notta transcribes meetings, recordings and files. It has no system-wide dictation app for typing by voice into other apps.
If you also dictate, you'll pay for a second tool. I add one to the costs below.
Is Notta Free? Why 3 Minutes per Conversation Makes It a Demo

Yes, Notta has a free plan, and it doesn't expire. But it transcribes only the first 3 minutes of each conversation.
For real meetings, that makes Free a demo.
What Free includes
- 120 transcription minutes a month
- Up to 3 minutes per conversation
- 50 file uploads and 10 AI summaries a month
- One seat, 3 custom vocabulary terms and 5 custom AI templates
- The bot-free desktop app, the meeting bot and speaker identification, per Notta's help center
What the 3-minute cap does to a real call
- A 30-minute call: 3 minutes transcribed, or 10%
- A 45-minute call: 3 minutes, or 6.7%
- A 1-hour call: 3 minutes, or 5%
The 120 monthly minutes don't change that. At 3 minutes each, they cover at most 40 conversations.
How other free plans handle the same call
Each cap comes from the vendor's pricing page, checked in October 2026:
- Notta Free: stops at 3 minutes per conversation
- Otter Basic: 30 minutes per conversation, 300 minutes a month
- Jamie Free: a 30-minute meeting limit
- Read AI Free: meetings up to 1 hour, 5 a month
- Fireflies Free: meetings up to 2 hours
- Fathom Free: unlimited recordings
Downgrading hides your old transcripts
If you leave a paid plan, your data stays. But Notta's pricing FAQ says "you can only view the first 3 minutes of the transcript as a Free user."
Notta advises exporting your transcripts to local storage before you downgrade. Do that before you cancel.
How Free compares with Voibe
Voibe has no free plan for meeting notes either. Voibe Free ($0 forever) is dictation only, with 2,000 cloud words a week on one device.
Voibe Work starts with a 7-day trial of every feature, with no card and no automatic charge. Notta's trials need a card.
What Pro, Business and Enterprise Add
Each tier adds something different:
- Pro: more minutes and exports, for one person
- Business: seats, team tools and a CRM link
- Enterprise: admin and data controls, from 51 seats
Pro: minutes and exports ($97.99 a year)
Pro is $13.49 a month, or $8.17 a month billed annually. It adds:
- 1,800 transcription minutes a month, with recordings up to 5 hours
- 100 file uploads and 100 AI summaries a month
- Transcript export, transcript translation and 200 custom vocabulary terms
- Privacy Mode in Notta Desktop, which transcribes on your computer (beta)
- Unlimited custom AI templates
- Box, Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive
Pro is one seat. You can't add a colleague to it.
Business: teams and integrations ($199.99 a seat)
Business is $27.99 a seat a month, or $16.67 billed annually. It adds:
- Unlimited transcription
- 200 file uploads and 200 AI summaries a month
- Video recording of web meetings
- CRM and Zapier integrations: Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM and more
- A shared team workspace, usage reports and user roles
- Security certification reports and IP restrictions
Business annual costs $102 a year more than Pro annual. That's a 104.1% jump ($102 ÷ $97.99), mostly for the seats and the CRM link.
Enterprise: SSO and auto-delete, 51 seats minimum
Enterprise has no public price. The page says it starts from 51 seats, and it adds:
- SAML SSO, full data access control and audit logs
- Unlimited file uploads and AI summaries
- Automatic file deletion settings
- A "No data training" control, which Notta's help center lists only on Enterprise
- Flexible payments and priority support
At Business list price, 51 seats would cost $10,199.49 a year (51 × $199.99). Enterprise is quoted, so ask sales for the real number.
The same on every plan
- The Notta Bot for Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex
- Notta Desktop's bot-free recording (beta, Mac and Windows)
- Speaker identification and the Chrome extension
- 1,000 Notta Brain AI credits a month
Notta's Hidden Costs: Trials, Minute Rules and Add-Ons
Notta's list prices are low. I found eight extra costs in its rules.
1. Trials that turn into a year
- Web, 3 days: you must add a payment method, and you get 300 minutes. The $97.99 annual fee is charged as soon as the trial ends.
- Mobile, 3 days: 1,800 minutes. The annual fee can be charged any time in the last 24 hours of the trial.
- Deleting the mobile app doesn't stop it. Notta's help center says "Auto-renewal will not be canceled even if you delete the app."
- Business, 7 days: card required, with 300 minutes and 50 AI summaries. It then renews as Business Monthly at $27.99 a seat.
Notta advises cancelling the web trial at least 24 hours before it expires. Set a reminder for day 2.
2. No refunds on the web
- Notta's help center says web purchases are generally not refunded.
- App Store and Google Play purchases go through Apple or Google.
- The terms renew every plan on the same conditions until you or Notta cancel.
3. Silence and rounding use up minutes
- Uploaded files count at full length, silent sections included.
- Anything under a minute rounds up. A 15-minute 13-second file uses 16 minutes.
- Translating or re-transcribing uses the minutes again. In Notta's example, a 16-minute recording plus translation costs 32 minutes.
4. AI summaries have their own cap
- Free gets 10 summaries a month, Pro 100 and Business 200.
- Regenerating a summary uses up another one.
- Deleting a summary doesn't give the quota back.
- Unlimited summaries start at Enterprise.
5. Pro is one seat, and Enterprise is 51
Two people can't share Pro. A team of 10 on Business costs:
- Annual: 10 × $199.99 = $1,999.90 a year
- Monthly: 10 × $27.99 × 12 = $3,358.80 a year
Ten seats of Voibe Work cost $1,490 a year. That's $509.90 (25.5%) less than Notta Business annual.
6. The iPhone app charges more
Notta's help center warns that app-store prices may differ from the web. On the US App Store on November 2, 2026:
- Annual Pro is $114.99. That's $17 (17.3%) more than $97.99 on the web.
- Pro monthly is $14.99, or $1.50 (11.1%) more than $13.49 on the web.
7. Add-ons for translation and AI
Add-ons are sold only on Pro, Business and Enterprise:
- Monolingual Translation: $72 a year or $10 a month, up to 100 uses a month on Pro and Business
- Bilingual Transcription & Translation: $108 a year or $15 a month, up to 200 uses
- Notta Brain Pro: $93.59 a year or $12.99 a month, with 8,000 AI credits a month
Every plan already gets 4 bilingual and 2 real-time translation uses a month.
One help article lists Notta Brain Pro monthly at $12.90, not $12.99. Check the price at checkout.
8. The 40% off is close to true
- Pro: $161.88 billed monthly drops to $97.99, a $63.89 (39.5%) saving.
- Business: $335.88 drops to $199.99 a seat, a $135.89 (40.5%) saving.
To switch from annual to monthly, or from Pro to Business, you cancel and subscribe again. Your current plan runs to its renewal date.
Where Your Meetings Go on Each Notta Plan
Paying Notta more changes seats, minutes and admin controls. It doesn't change where your meetings go.
On every plan, recordings and transcripts sit in Notta's cloud. Its help center says the data center is in Tokyo.
| Question | Notta Free | Notta Pro | Notta Business | Notta Enterprise | Voibe Work |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Does a bot join? | The Notta Bot joins if you invite it or turn on auto-join; Notta Desktop records with no bot (beta) | No bot (Mac and Windows) | |||
| Where notes live | Notta's cloud, AWS in Tokyo | Notta's cloud in Tokyo; Privacy Mode keeps a desktop recording in a local folder (beta) | On your computer, not Voibe's servers | ||
| Retention | Kept indefinitely, until you delete it | Automatic deletion settings | Audio deleted after processing; notes stay with you | ||
| Trains AI on your meetings? | No plan-wide promise; the no-training control isn't listed below Enterprise | No-training control listed | Never | ||
| Attestations | Notta states SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 (it says it follows the guidelines), GDPR and CCPA; HIPAA is "Follow HIPAA guidelines", and I found no BAA | No certification claimed; BAA available on request | |||

Is Notta Worth It? The 1-, 3- and 5-Year Cost
I'd call Pro worth $97.99 a year if these three fit you:
- You're one person, recording under 30 hours a month (1,800 minutes).
- You want 5-hour recordings, file uploads and phone apps in one plan.
- You're fine with a vendor cloud in Tokyo that keeps calls until you delete them.
The bigger plans fit narrower cases:
- Business ($199.99 a seat) if your team needs a shared workspace, video recording or a CRM link
- Enterprise for 51 seats or more that need SSO, auto-delete or the no-training control
What users say
All ratings checked November 2, 2026:
- iPhone app: 4.07 out of 5 on the App Store from 1,474 ratings
- Android app: 4.12 out of 5 on Google Play from 21,583 ratings
- Chrome extension: 2.8 out of 5 on the Chrome Web Store from 44 ratings, with 100,000 users
- Trustpilot: no score shown. The page says "This company's rating is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines." Of 170 reviews, 87% are 1-star.
What each plan costs over 1, 3 and 5 years
| Plan | 1 year | 3 years | 5 years | vs Voibe Work lifetime ($399) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Notta Free | $0 | $0 | $0 | Voibe Work costs $399 more |
| Notta Pro (annual) | $97.99 | $293.97 | $489.95 | Over 3 years, Voibe costs $105.03 more; over 5 years, $90.95 (18.6%) less |
| Notta Pro (monthly) | $161.88 | $485.64 | $809.40 | 3 years: Voibe $86.64 (17.8%) less |
| Notta Business (annual, per seat) | $199.99 | $599.97 | $999.95 | 3 years: Voibe $200.97 (33.5%) less |
| Notta Pro (annual) + Wispr Flow Pro | $241.99 | $725.97 | $1,209.95 | 3 years: Voibe $326.97 (45.0%) less |
| Voibe Work (annual) | $149 | $447 | $745 | Lifetime is $48 less than 3 annual payments |
Notta has no lifetime plan. Its cost keeps climbing every year.
- Voibe Work's $399 lifetime seat breaks even against Notta Pro annual in about 4.1 years ($399 ÷ $97.99).
- Against Business annual, it breaks even in about 2.0 years ($399 ÷ $199.99).
Where Notta is the better buy
- Cheapest paid plan: Notta Pro at $97.99 a year undercuts Voibe Work by $51.01.
- Long sessions. Notta allows 5 hours per recording, and Voibe Work allows 4 hours per meeting.
- File transcription. Notta Pro takes 100 uploads a month, and Voibe's app doesn't import files.
- Phone apps for iPhone and Android. Voibe has no phone app.
- A bot that joins calls for you. Voibe Work has no bot, so it records only from your own computer.
- Transcription with no internet. Notta's Privacy Mode (Pro and up, desktop beta) transcribes on your computer, while Voibe Work's meeting notes need a connection.
Is There a Notta Discount, Student Plan or Lifetime Deal?
Notta's built-in discount is annual billing. It also runs an education discount and accepts promo codes.
Notta's pricing page and help center showed these on November 2, 2026:
- Annual billing: advertised as 40% off. It saves 39.5% on Pro and 40.5% on Business.
- Education: 50% off for students and teachers. Annual Pro is $48.99.
- Education Business is $99.99 a seat a year, or $13.99 a seat a month.
- Education sign-up is self-service for listed school email domains, such as .edu.
- In the iPhone app, the education Annual Pro plan is $54.00 on the App Store.
- Promo codes: they work only on Notta's website in a desktop browser. No public code was on the pricing page.
- Lifetime deal: none. Every plan bills monthly or annually.
For a student, Notta Pro at $48.99 a year is hard to beat. Voibe has no student or education discount, so Voibe Work costs $100.01 more than that.
How Voibe Work handles it
- A 7-day trial of every feature, with no credit card and no automatic charge
- After the trial, you move to Voibe Free unless you buy a plan
- A 30-day money-back guarantee on paid plans
- A $399 lifetime option, tagged "Limited time" on the pricing page
Notta Refunds and Cancelling: What the Terms Say
Notta generally doesn't refund web purchases. Its help center and terms (effective September 2, 2026) set these rules:
- Web: "refunds are generally not provided for paid plans purchased through the Web platform."
- App purchases: you ask Apple or Google for a refund, following their own guides.
- Subscriptions renew automatically on the same conditions until you or Notta cancel.
- Price changes take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
- The terms promise a refund of prepaid fees for the rest of the term only when Notta ends the contract.
How to cancel
- Web: click your profile picture, then Billing, then Cancel Subscription. You keep paid features until the period ends.
- iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Notta. Deleting the app cancels nothing.
- Android: Google Play, Payments & subscriptions, Notta.
What I'd do before paying
- Skip the card-required trial if you're unsure.
- Start on Free, then pay for one month of Pro at $13.49.
- That month costs $5.32 more than a month on annual billing. It's cheap insurance against a $97.99 year you can't get back.
- Export your transcripts before you cancel. On Free you'll only see the first 3 minutes of each.
Notta vs Voibe Work: What a Year Costs

The dictation bundle
Notta covers meetings and files, not dictation. If you also write by voice, you need a second app.
- Notta Pro annual ($97.99) plus Wispr Flow Pro ($144) is $241.99 a year.
- Voibe Work includes Voibe Dictation on Mac and Windows for $149.
- That's $92.99 (38.4%) less for the bundle.
Wispr Flow now has its own bot-free notetaker too. See Wispr Flow Notetaker vs Voibe Work for that match-up.
What Voibe Work includes
- No bot joins. Voibe Work captures the call from your Mac or Windows PC.
- Works in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, Slack huddles or any other meeting app
- In-person meetings, recorded through your Mac or PC's mic
- Open-source models on zero-retention cloud providers process the audio. It's deleted as soon as processing completes.
- The transcript and summary are saved on your computer, not Voibe's servers, and never used to train AI.
- Speaker labels with a time next to every line. Rename a speaker and the summary updates.
- Templates for each type of meeting, plus your own custom templates
- Chat with your meetings
- One-click copy and PDF export
- Up to 4 hours per meeting, with unlimited meetings
- Voibe Dictation, included
Meeting notes need an internet connection. At the start of each recording, Voibe reminds you to tell everyone you're taking notes.
Following recording-consent rules is your responsibility.
What Voibe Work doesn't have
Notta does more in a few places:
- A lower price on Pro, and a free plan (for 3-minute clips)
- 5-hour recordings and file uploads
- iPhone, Android and Chrome apps
- A bot that can join calls for you
- CRM, Notion and Zapier integrations
- Privacy Mode transcription with no internet (Pro and up, desktop beta)
If those count for more than where your notes live, pick Notta.

Switching from Notta
If you already pay for Notta, cancel it. Then email the cancellation confirmation to hi@getvoibe.com.
Voibe's switch offer gives you Voibe Work free for the time left on your Notta plan. You also get a bonus month, up to 12 months in total.
Which Notta Plan Should You Pick?
Five questions, in order. Stop at the first plan that fits.
1. Are your recordings 3 minutes or shorter?
- Yes → Notta Free ($0). Fine for voice memos and quick check-ins.
- No → question 2.
2. Is it just you, under 1,800 minutes a month?
- Yes → Notta Pro ($97.99 a year, or $13.49 a month). Start monthly, since web refunds are generally not provided.
- No, it's a team → question 3.
3. Does the team need a CRM link, video recording or unlimited minutes?
- Yes → Notta Business ($199.99 a seat a year, or $27.99 a month).
- No → each person can buy Pro, but you lose the shared workspace.
4. Do you need SSO, audit logs, auto-delete or a no-training control?
- Yes, with 51+ seats → Notta Enterprise (custom price).
- Yes, with fewer seats → those controls aren't sold below 51 seats. Go to question 5.
5. Should meetings stay off a vendor's cloud?
- Fine either way → stay with the Notta plan above.
- No bot, notes kept off vendor servers → Voibe Work ($149 a year, $19 a month or $399 lifetime, Mac and Windows).
- Voibe reminds you to tell everyone you're taking notes. Consent rules are yours to follow.
- Something free → see the free options in Notta alternatives.

- The 3-day web trial needs a card. Notta's help center says the $97.99 annual fee is charged as soon as the trial ends.
- The mobile trial can charge any time in its last 24 hours.
- The 7-day Business trial renews as Business Monthly.
Does Notta offer refunds?
Generally not on the web. Notta's help center says refunds "are generally not provided for paid plans purchased through the Web platform."
Apple or Google handle refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases. Try Free or one month of Pro before paying for a year.
Is there a Notta student discount?
Yes. Notta's help center lists 50% off for students and teachers:
- $48.99 for Annual Pro
- $99.99 a seat for Annual Business
- $13.99 a seat for Monthly Business
It's self-service for listed school email domains. Voibe has no student or education discount.

Final Verdict: Is Notta's Pricing Fair in 2026?
Notta's paid prices are fair, and Pro is cheap. At $97.99 a year, Pro gives you 1,800 minutes a month, 5-hour recordings and file uploads.
Few paid notetakers cost less. Check these rules before you pay:
- Free stops at minute 3, so it's a demo, not a working plan.
- Trials need a card and turn into a $97.99 year.
- Web refunds are generally not provided.
- Pro is one seat, and Enterprise starts at 51.
- On every plan, your meetings sit in Notta's cloud in Tokyo until you delete them.
When I'd pick Voibe Work instead
If that last point worries you, look at Voibe Work. It costs $149 a year, with dictation included.
- $51.01 more than Notta Pro
- $50.99 (25.5%) less than Business
